Look at the picture on the left. It is plain to see how uncomfortable, inaccessible, unsociable and unimaginative the traditional picnic bench is. It's one of those designs that has clung on for many years for no sensible reason.

Large organisations need, these days, are much more aware of their responsibilities to those with mobility impairment. Our tables provide easy walk-in access to the seats and wheelchair users can wheel right up to the table and be part of the group. That's just one of the many reasons customers such as the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds uses Devon Oke tables at their bird sanctuary picnic sites.
Even in outdoor seating areas which are not actually open to the public, Devon Oke furniture is a hit with those that have durability, design, ease of use and functionality in mind. The BBC and Ove Arup, one of the world's leading architectural practices use our furniture in their own private outdoor relaxation areas.
For the last ten years, one of our most regular customers has been the National Trust who have hundreds of our tables in their tea gardens throughout the UK. They keep coming back - low maintenance, accessibility for older, and perhaps less flexible, patrons and suitability for the purpose. The Royal Horticultural Society also use our furniture in their tea garden at RHS Rosemoor in Devon.
We do not believe we have exaggerated our claims here.
